    Hi Akira, Good point!

Based on numerous studies, we’ve found that IDELA works best for children aged 3.5 to 6 years. So, we can make an evidence-backed recommendation on that age. However, many users have extended this age range based on the needs of their studies, the engagement of the children, and the children’s abilities. We find that many children aged three and above can participate in an IDELA assessment.

In certain, limited circumstances, we’ve seen IDELA used with children as young as 2 and as old as 8. If you’re considering these age ranges our education research team would be happy to speak with you in more detail to ensure it’s the right fit.

    best,
    Frannie

Hello, thanks for the question. For both of these items you score identification of each letter/number as 1 or 0 (correct or incorrect). Next, you sum up those and divide by 20 (or in effect, take average). As a result maximum total score on this item will be 1 and minimum – 0. Hope this helps.

Hi , I am trying to understand about IDELA and exploring to use it for a learning level assessment study with 4-6 years old in Rwanda. Would request to respond to by below queries:

    1) Can we internally train the enumerators on the IDELA tool(with support of the manuals nad training material) or is it a compulsion to only deploy IDELA trained/certified assessors ?
    2) Would an already translated (in Kinyarwanda language) and ready to use tool be available for Rwanda or any customization/translation will be required?

What about the overall observation of the child section at the end of the assessment. How is this scored?

Individual attention is provided when you sign up for one-on-one business coaching sessions. Yes, group sessions will inevitably contain more practical exercises, but individual coaching will give you the ideal direction for marketing your company. Your business coach will thoroughly examine your ideas and help you implement them while maintaining a record of your progress. They will directly intervene to make positive changes if your firm is struggling.

Hello, I would like to understand this case:

In essence, each domain score (Emergent Numeracy, Emergent Literacy, Motor, and Social-Emotional) is calculated by the average percent correct for the tasks in each domain. So, in the Motor domain, if a child hopped 7/10 steps, drew 6/8 body parts, drew a good triangle with 3 sides and folded 1/4 folds, they would score 70% on Hopping, 75% on Drawing a Person, 100% on Drawing a Shape and 25% on Folding. The Motor score would be (70%+75%+100%+25%)/4= 67.5%. The Total IDELA score is simply the average for the four core domain scores.

What means the 67,5%? It’s a good or bad result?

    Thks for your help
