First Read Endline Study Demonstrates Positive Results in Thailand

Home based ECCD program strengthened emergent literacy and and parenting practices in a conflict setting


First Read Thailand strengthened emergent early childhood development outcomes with a specific focus on emergent literacy for ethnic minority children aged 3 to 6 in the Deep South of Thailand through improved parenting practice and access to quality, age-appropriate reading materials in local languages. This endline study reviews the impact of the program across parenting practices, child development, the home learning environment and equity.
