The International Development and Early Learning Assessment, IDELA, is an easy-to-use, rigorous global tool that measures children’s early learning and development.

A suite of resources is available to support your use of the tool. This includes training guidance for enumerators, a training schedule and set of introductory PowerPoint presentations that review school readiness, assessing young children, administration guidance, scoring guidance and best practices in data collection with young children. Additional materials support data collection and analysis, and research ethics.

IDELA is available to the public for free as an open access tool. If you’d like to use IDELA and gain access to the full site of resources, please complete the online MOU.
