Innovative Teaching Program Tests Control and Intervention Groups in Ethiopia
This report presents the results of a baseline IDELA Assessment that took place in November 2017 in Gedeo, Hadiya, Sidama, Wolyata zones and in Halaba Special Woreda in South Nation, Nationalities and People’s Region (SNNPR) in Ethiopia. The main objective of the baseline study is to test whether children (age 6 ) who will receive the O Class intervention and children in the comparison group are equal in terms of socio¬economic characteristics, home learning environments and early development skills. There is additional discussion of the impact of mother's literacy on children's IDELA score.
