Follow Up Study Reports Results from Angawadi-based ECD Program in Bangalore
Introduction
This report presents the results of a follow-up study of the RCT that took place in Karnataka, India in 2017-2018. Within the scopes of the current study, funded by PvH Corp, 50 Anganwadi (preschool centers) in rural Bangalore received the program intervention including Ready to Learn Emergent Literacy and Math (ELM) teacher training, school supplies a mobilization campaign, and educational material support to parents and mother’s groups. Results suggest that the two-year preschool intervention might be more beneficial for preschool centers compared to one-year intervention.
