Report Launch: Beyond Access, Exploring Equity in Early Childhood Learning and Development
Save the Children’s releases third global IDELA report, Beyond Access
Beyond Access: Exploring Equity in Early Childhood Learning and Development analyses 38 IDELA data sets and examines the relationships between gender, socio-economic status, negative discipline and early childhood learning outcomes. It offers key insight into the state of global early childhood development and the challenges faced by children, parents, communities, schools and governments.
The event was hosted online in an effort to recognize and include as many global participants as possible and succeeded in drawing an audience from 16 countries and 23 organizations. An introduction was given by Ivelina Borisova of UNICEF, and followed by a presentation of report findings from Lauren Pisani, the report’s primary author. A panel discussion included IDELA partners Luke Heinkle from Results for Development, Gauri Kirtane of FSG and Ali Amente of Save the Children Ethiopia.
