Early Childhood Skill Development through Emergent Literacy and Math in Niger
An endline study examining learning environment, children's strengths and equity
This Early Learning and Math (ELM) study provides a snapshot of children’s skill development over one year, allowing Save the Children and partners to contextualize their early childhood education interventions based on the learning environment and children’s developmental strengths and weaknesses. In Niger, ELM activities include parent/caregiver workshops designed to support parents and other family members to promote their children’s learning at home and training and support for educators at ECD centers. The data to inform the report was collected in the Maradi region of Niger two points in time, November 2016 and November 2017.
