IDELA Included in Global Guide to Social-Emotional Learning Measurement Tools
The Inter-agency Network for Education in Emergencies (INEE) and EASEL Lab at the Harvard Graduate School of Education conducted a 2019 mapping project to identify social emotional learning (SEL) measurement and assessment tools used in the education in emergencies (EIE) sector. IDELA was one of 25 included tools.
“This project aims to show the relationships between guidance documents and measurement and assessment tools to demonstrate how each of these components, when aligned, help to promote high-quality and equitable learning.” – Sonja Temko, Research Assistant, Harvard Graduate School of Education
The mapping aimed to understand which tools are available and what exactly they each measure; identify remaining gaps in existing tools in an effort to promote tools to address those gaps; and finally to show clear links between tools and international standards (ie. Sustainable Development Goals, Global Partnership for Education Results Framework, INEE Minimum Standards).
The report can be found through the INEE website here.
