This IDELA dataset includes data from 141 children in inclusive ECCD centers in Gegharkunik and Lori Provinces as well as Yerevan city in Armenia. The average age of children was 5.2 years. This data was collected as part of Save the Children's work in Albania on the third phase of the Action for Child Health and Education (ACHE) project. The project's ECCD component specifically targets communities with no operational preschool or alternative ECCD services.
Average learning and development scores in IDELA domains
On average, children scored 60% correct on the IDELA assessment. The most common range of scores was 51 to 60%.

There was a large range in children’s scores, but the most common range of scores was 51 to 60%.
Distribution of children’s ages
Most children in the sample were five or six years old.
Average IDELA scores by child’s age
Age was significantly related to IDELA scores. On average, one additional year was associated with an additional 13 percentage points correct in overall IDELA score.
Distribution of children’s gender
50% of children in the sample were female. In this study no correlation was found between gender and total IDELA score.
